Synopsis

In an alley in New York's Chinatown, Proctor Tar (a guardian of the barrier between Earth and the Crimson Dawn) struggles to flee from an attacker. He calls to his minions, but they instead attack him. Kuragari arrives and deals a death blow to Proctor Tar. Before Tar dies, he contacts Gomurr the Ancient (the other guardian on this plane) and warns him of Kuragari's attack.

Archangel arrives home with flowers but finds it odd that Psylocke isn't around. She leaps at him from the shadows and smothers him with kisses. Hoping that things are getting back to normal in their relationship (Psylocke having been mauled by Sabertooth and then cured in the Crimson Dawn), Archangel offers to take Psylocke our for the hottest Broadway show, "Noise/Funk". But then Psylocke reverts and pushes Archangel away.

To make matters worse, Psylocke turns to meditation to get her groove back. She hears a voice from the shadows and leaps to investigate, only to pull her psychic blade on Archangel. She admits that her abilities are diminishing and she can't help but shut him out while she tries to work on them. He leaves, frustrated that she won't let him help her.

In the Crimson Dawn, Kuragari assigns his Undercloaks to present a mystic ring to Psylocke, as she is descending into a madness that will lead her to join the Undercloaks.

Back on Earth, a visit from Logan helps Warren cope somewhat with his relationship struggles.

At the same time, Psylocke runs a holographic training program in which she confronts enemies from her past. She unwittingly nearly kills the projection of her old friend Doug when the Undercloaks appear to confirm that she is worthy of joining them.
